Olivier receives the Artist of the Year Award for the Capitale-Nationale, presented by the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec.
“One of Quebec’s leading artists, Olivier Higgins takes a very accurate look at the world and demonstrates great humanity through his cinematographic works. His most recent feature-length documentary, Wandering: a Rohingya Story, is touching, moving, sensitive, and poetic. It is a work of great social significance! Olivier Higgins’ ability to disappear in order to highlight a subject, along with his rigor, are to be commended,” mentioned the members of the Conseil jury.
